At the Adicare clinic, you can use all services equally in person, online or on a rotating basis.
Combined psychotherapy in general

Why is a combined form of psychotherapy appropriate?
According to many studies, regularity of psychotherapy is one of the basic conditions for the success of the treatment process. Particularly in the case of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), a weekly interval between treatments is one of the crucial success factors. Thus, KBT therapy brings much faster relief while maintaining an intensive weekly rhythm compared to other therapies.
For acute problems (especially depression, phobias and anxiety), an interval of two meetings per week has been shown to have the greatest effect.

However, many clients find it difficult to maintain these regular intervals for various reasons. The alternating form of psychotherapy is suitable for all those who have limited time possibilities or live at a greater distance from our outpatient clinics in Brno and Prague.
In alternating psychotherapy, clients do not have to give up personal contact with their psychologist, but they can remain flexible in their choice of time and place of therapy and the effectiveness remains intact.

How does combination therapy work?
Each therapy is preceded by an initial and diagnostic consultation, which can be done in person or online. The first therapy session is always a face-to-face meeting. This is important for establishing a therapeutic relationship. Every client of the Adicare clinic also has the opportunity to assess whether the chosen therapist is suitable for them personally after the first meeting. If he or she is not humanly close, an immediate exchange can be arranged and the first therapy session is not charged. Subsequent sessions are then alternately online and in person. In the normal rhythm, every fourth therapy session is in person, but in the case of relaxation therapies, which are part of most treatment programs, the client has the choice between in-person or online.
Medication
If the problems are of a more serious nature, combined psychotherapy can be supported by gentle medication without side effects. Your therapist will help you arrange a psychiatric consultation and you again have the choice of face-to-face or online care.
If you are interested in a combined form of therapy, make an appointment for an initial diagnostic consultation and tell the diagnosing psychologist about your request.
