Treatment in our centre is preceded by a non-binding initial and diagnostic consultation. It consists of a diagnostic interview and a battery of written tests, which the psychologist selects on the basis of the interview and the client receives by e-mail. It is natural that someone may feel apprehensive or simply uncomfortable about the first meeting. Talking about one's difficulties in a strange environment and with a stranger may arouse stress or anxiety. These feelings are anticipated by an experienced psychologist. Some people find it easy to talk about their difficulties, others are more comfortable just answering questions. There is certainly no need to prepare for this conversation in advance; diagnostic psychologists are respectful and empathetic. They will be happy to help you with everything.
Our first meeting

Why is a therapy plan important?
The answers to the six questions below form what is known as a treatment plan. The therapeutic plan is important precisely to prevent the whole therapeutic process from becoming a mere "chat", which is pleasant and relieving but does not lead to significant change. Psychotherapies are not magic; every client should be able to be informed about what will happen with them and what methods the therapist will use in their work.
Psychotherapy can take many forms. In our Centre we specialise in both so-called supportive psychotherapy and therapeutic and relaxation psychotherapy. Supportive therapy helps the client to resolve e.g. relationship problems, process traumas or engage in personal development.

Therapeutic psychotherapy focuses on the treatment of specific psychiatric difficulties such as anxiety, depression, excessive stress, sleep disorders, psychosomatic difficulties, personality disorders, etc. Cognitive relaxation and mindfulness is one of the state-of-the-art practices in mental health promotion and recovery. This therapy specializes in the treatment of resistant stress, the client first under the guidance of the therapist and then learns the skills of intensive mental relaxation on his own.
Estimating the length of the therapeutic intervention is also essential information. The therapeutic process involves a certain investment - time, financial and psychological. Every client should have this information before starting the process. Of course, the estimate cannot be completely accurate; we base it on the recommended minimum number of hours for a given psychotherapeutic method and on our practical experience. For supportive and self-development psychotherapy, the length of the therapeutic process is very difficult to estimate.
We will name the main problem together, i.e. we will establish the main diagnosis. We often struggle with stress, sadness, insomnia, exhaustion, hopelessness or fear. However, depressive, stress and anxiety disorders are numerous and each is approached therapeutically somewhat differently. If we specify the problems more precisely, this will help us to combat them more effectively and in a more targeted way.
